Summer Update
Since the last update, amazing things have happened for Shayla. She recently was in Romania for a month filming After Dark Films and Massify’s "Perkins 14" where she plays the lead, Daisy Hopper.
Former member of punk band, The Misfits, Michale Graves stars alongside her as Daisy’s love interest. Webisodes of the production will be viewable at Massify.com and the feature itself is scheduled to show at After Dark Horrorfest III, January 2009.
Her first film in which she starred in as Audrey Shaw, "Sex and the USA", previously titled "Promises", is set to premiere at the Deauville American Film Festival in France on September 12th. She’ll be flying out to help promote the film. More information can be found at...

She has also made the switch from representation by DDO Artists Agency to Ken Jacobson Management who’s list of clientele include Ben Foster, Efren Ramirez, and Summer Bishil.

May Update
Hard work pays off. After just wrapping on HBO's Trophy where she played the lead, Hayden Sayer, she received her first IMDB credit for her performance. Here's what she had to say. "I'm ecstatic! As an actor there are two days in which are the best days of your life, earning your first IMDB and your SAG card." And it appears to be just that. The budding starlet recently has made the switch from LA Management to DDO Artists Agency/Liquid Talent for across the board representation and is a finalist in the "Ghost in the Machine" Audition Competition, being held by Massify.com and After Dark Films. Spring Update
With the writers strike at an end, new opportunity has arisen for Shayla. She's currently in the middle of filming a new short film entitled "Trophy" from producer Matt DiFranco in association with HBO, where she plays the main character Hayden Sayer.
As well as making the switch from Non-Union to AFTRA, she also recently finished a print shoot with Dennis Wise of Studio 3 for the new Nintendo DS advertisement, which should be available to the public eye in 3 weeks.

New Year Update
As the new year begins, great new things have been happening for Shayla.
Among shooting an editorial for Gloom Magazine due to come out next issue, and filming the pilot "Detention" for MTV with BigFantastic where she plays "TJ", she has also signed with LA Management’s own Anthony Topman. To see the rest of their cliental, check out www.lamanager.com.

An Update
After wrapping up on her latest film “Promises” due out to Sundance January 2009, Shayla has done anything but take a break. Between putting the final touches on her first screenplay and attending callbacks, she’s currently preparing for her role as T.J. in the television series “Detention” set to start filming late Janurary. She’ll be away from L.A. on holiday to England Dec. 16th – Jan. 6th.
